Digital Printing Market By Printhead Type

For home printing, an inkjet printer is a common choice. They make images by spraying thousands of microscopic ink droplets onto paper with precision, similar to how TV and computer screens render images with thousands of pixels. Yellow, magenta, and cyan ink cartridges are the most common. The printer can blend these three fundamental colors together to create whatever colors are required for the print job.

Toner, a powder that is fused onto the paper, is used by laser printers to create permanent images. These printers are known for producing rapid prints with smudge- and fade-resistant papers. Laser printers flash the picture of the page by focusing laser beams at a revolving light-sensitive drum/photoreceptor. This, charges the parts of the drum that correspond to the image's black-and-white or color sections. The laser beam may print patterns such as letters and pictures onto the photoreceptor by reversing the charge in particular regions.

The drum pattern is subsequently coated with positively charged toner, which adheres to the laser's negatively charged portions. When the paper passes through the printer, the toner is transferred to the paper through an electric charge, where it adheres, melts, and makes a clean completed picture.

Digital Printing Market By Ink Type

Ultra violet cured ink is made using ultra violet curing (UV curing), a green technique that uses a photomechanical process to dry ink immediately after printing. This means you may print on almost any non-absorbent surface, such as glass, wood, metal, vinyl materials, and more. Because UV curable ink does not absorb into the substrate, there is no smearing and no need for expensive coatings.

Water makes up the majority of this type of ink's chemistry and is utilized as a carrier to carry the ink's colorant within a drop. Aqueous ink obtains its color from either dye or pigment and is used in high-speed inkjet, wide format, and textile printing.

Along with its ability to stick to non-absorbent surfaces, solvent ink is best used in the printing of products that will be used outside. Solvent ink provides the added benefits of being fade resistant, water resistant, and scratch resistant. Its suitability for outdoor printing is enhanced by these characteristics.

Solvent ink is made up of three components: the carrier fluid, pigment, and resin. Solvent ink refers to the oil-based carrier fraction of the ink that keeps the other components in liquid form and dissolves when applied to a surface by jetting. Pigments used to make color in solvent inks are used in powder form to get the best color quality, and they are bonded to the printing materials using resin, which both adheres the color and protects it from harm.

Digital Printing Market By Application Type

Plastic film is a continuous polymeric substance that is very thin. "Sheet" refers to a thicker plastic material. These thin plastic membranes are used to divide spaces or volumes, store goods, operate as barriers, and provide printing surfaces. Plastic films are used for a wide range of purposes. Packaging, plastic bags, labels, and other items fall into this category.

A release liner is a paper or plastic-based film sheet intended to prevent a sticky surface from attaching prematurely during the manufacturing process. It is covered with a release agent on one or both sides, which gives a release effect against any sticky material, such as an adhesive or mastic.

Glass printing is the capacity to permanently copy any digital image onto glass. This means you may simply personalize a place in a functional way by creating an illustration, a texture imitation, geometric and abstract patterns, and even photos on a glass panel that can be readily mounted.

Glass printing has been employed in a wide range of applications in a variety of sectors since its inception. Table tops, office partitions, kitchen backsplashes, furniture glass, beautiful indoor glass wall panels, glass signage, printed mirrors, building facades, entrance door systems, nameplates on desks, and more are just a few of the applications.

The process of applying color to fabric in specific patterns or designs is known as textile printing. The color is linked to the fiber in correctly printed fabrics, making them resistant to washing and friction. Textile printing is similar to dyeing, but dyeing adequately covers the entire fabric with one color, whereas printing applies one or more colors to it in specific areas and in clearly defined patterns. It is widely used for dress fabric and dressmaking materials, promotional activities (caps, t-shirts, bags, handbags, flags, cushions, pillows, bedsheets, scarves, etc.).

Paper is a thin sheet material made by physically or chemically processing cellulose fibers from wood, rags, grasses, or other vegetable sources in water, then draining the water through fine mesh to leave the fiber equally spread on the surface, pressing, and drying. It has various applications in our day to day lives such as used for newspapers, periodicals, catalogues, brochures, books, notebooks, diary, notepads, commercial printing, business forms, stationery, etc.

A ceramic is any of a number of hard, brittle, heat-resistant, and corrosion-resistant materials created by molding and firing an inorganic, nonmetallic material like clay at a high temperature. Earthenware, porcelain, and brick are common examples. The main purpose of printing on ceramics is for decoration. It is widely used for decorating the halls, rooms, workplaces, etc. Pots, tiles, coffee mugs, bowls, etc. are some examples of ceramic printing.
